"I had the best experience you could possibly have after my dog ate a significant amount of chocolate. Everyone was so kind to me, even though I was a wreck. They took the best care of my little boy."

"I had to make a trip with my cat on a Wednesday evening at 10:30PM as my cat chewed off and swallowed 8 inches of a shoe lace. I made a call to the vet Urgent Care office confirming to bring him in, grabbed both shoe strings from the shoes (so we knew how much he ate off the one shoe lace) and arrived at the office. We were immediately put into an exam room. They took my cat into the back room administering medicine to make him vomit but it wasn't successful. They advised the best action would be anesthesia and to scope his stomach. I agreed. They presented me with the itemized expected charges, I agreed and paid. I went home leaving my cat as they were going to perform the procedure immediately and keep him overnight.
At 2:30AM they texted and advised they were successful getting out the shoe lace and that he was doing well. I picked him up the next morning and he recovered beautifully.
Was it expensive? Yes, but I'm paying for emergency urgent care so I understand the charges. If I would have waited until the next morning and called my regular vet, the lace would have moved down into the intestine and it would have been major surgery."
